Recommended subjects for Submission of Articles
How to Publish in EN LETRA?
En Letra journal has been conceived to be a academic review according to the most rigorous international standards. Since February 2015, we publish articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese – if they are your mother language.
The evaluation process starts by submission of the article to our Managing Editor via firstname.lastname@example.org. After a confirmation e-mail -which is always sent within the term of 72 hours, all articles are refereed by a double blind, peer-review process. The standard procedure involves the intervention of five (5) referees, whose votes are also sent to the author, while its proceeding may take as long as forty-five (45) days.
Please, bear in mind that we require the submission of a sworn statement on the original condition of the article, its authorship and a transfer of the intellectual rights by the author. No article shall be published under any circumstances if this requirement is not fulfilled.
Regarding our criteria for considering the articles submitted, EN LETRA resolves according to the following principles:
given our purpose of sparking the debate of public affairs, all our articles are strictly required to consider relevant matters;
regarding their form, articles have to be systematically structured, which means that its arguments have to be exposed and developed coherently –i.e. without contradiction- and cohesively -with non-omissive continuity-;
since production and reproduction are not the same, only original texts are eligible for publishing;
if the academic discourse is founded on sources, the applying articles must be too; and
finally, we expect to publish good, finely created – in other words, well-written texts.
